Konami trademarks Genso Suikoden in US; new game in the works?

Siliconera reports that Konami has recently filed a trademark for “Genso Suikoden” in the US. Yeah, it’s for the Japanese series name, which kinda dilutes the possibility of an actual new game in the long-running RPG series.
Still, the last filing — for Suikoden Tierkreis — bore fruit, so hopefully this trademark filing will yield another new game. Maybe we’ll finally get a current-gen Suikoden. That or Konami is finally getting around to releasing that Suikoden 1 and 2 PSP compilation outside Japan.
